Those great Section 179 benefits described in Chapter 7 of “It’s How Much You KEEP, That Counts! Not how much you Make” may disappear soon. Right now they apply to any vehicle weighing more than 6,000 pounds, but after Jan. 1 that’s likely to change.

Congress is looking at restricting the special Accelerated Depreciation to apply only to vehicles weighing over 14,000 lbs. That’s a big difference! Looks like it will pass this year.
